Outfit of the Day: {Birthday Style}

I just recently celebrated my 31st birthday on Sunday, January 23rd. My family and I celebrated my birthday celebration at dinner on that Saturday. For dinner I thought I would dress up a little more being that it was my birthday and that I wanted to look FAB. I’m usually not a person that wears shorts at all and don’t think I have worn them much out in public since I was smaller and in high school.  So I took a risk and paired dress shorts with tights that I owned and I actually liked the overall combination. This outfit was perfect for the weather here in San Antonio because the weather here is so up and down an on this particular day it wasn’t to cold. So here is my overall look and make sure you guys let me know what you honestly think about this look!!!

After dinner I went home to open gifts which was the fun part. I had been hoping and hinting to my husband for some time now that I would like an Apple iPad and surprisingly he listened at my hints and bought me just what I wanted, an Ipad along with all of the accessories to go along with it. He purchased me the Wireless Keyboard, Targus Truss Leather Case/Stand as well as the iPad Camera Connection Kit. I was so excited and literally felt like a kid at the candy store :-). Thus far I’m loving everything about the iPad, it just takes some getting used to as all NEW things do. I don’t really feel a need for the Camera Connection Kit so that’s something I can actually do without b/c it’s not compatible with my Song Digital Camera. So again as always my husband has spoiled me with yet another awesome birthday. My kids even took the time to think of me as well and bought me this small little birthday cake that said “Happy 31st Birthday Diary of a Chic Mommy” and although I’m not much of a cake eater and I’m actually on a diet, I just love the thought of it. It was super cute and very thoughtful coming from them. Below is the cake they bought for me…oh I ♥ them so much 🙂
