Hello Lovelies!!
Soooo I’ve been wanting to try the tulle trend for a while now and as we know everything isn’t for everyBODY {literally}. Although I didn’t think I could pull it off I decided to step out of my comfort zone and to my surprise I actually think I nailed it (if I do say so myself lol).
When the lovely people from Shabby Apple contacted me for collaboration I immediately knew that I wanted to try out the Mint Wooster Skirt from their Bridesmaid Collection. This skirt is a vintage wink with a modern nod, the Wooster Skirt by Shabby Apple is by far on trend and definitely one I don’t see fading away any time soon considering that tulle skirts have been around for some time now, but have recently resurfaced. This skirt is a floor-length silhouette, wrapped in layers of tulle and a show-stopping party piece. It features a contrasting fitted waistband made of organza and sweet bow detail. I chose to wear my bow a little on the side, but kind of towards the back if that makes sense. It liked it better that way. What I like about a tulle skirt is the fact you can play with it and style it so many different ways. It can be dressed up or down and perfect for a wedding, date night or a girls night out on the town. Definitely consider this dress for bridal, date night or special events.
What I Wore:
Mint Wooster Skirt ~ Shabby Apple | Mesh Top ~ ASOS {similar here, here and here} Striped Clutch Bag~Shoe Dazzle old, {similar here and here} | Necklace & Bracelet ~ TJMaxx | Rose Gold Watch ~ Michael Kors
I’m absolutely loving the fullness of this tulle skirt…the bigger the better IMO {definitely an eye catcher} and the color is GORG! You definitely can’t go wrong. I’m wearing a size 14 and it’s a little loose, but being that it kinda puts you in the mind of a wrap skirt I was able to make it work without it appearing big by wrapping it accordingly. This skirt is very fun and I’m excited to try out some other looks. {FYI..these pictures were taken a few weeks back which is why my hair is different in this picture. I have braids now as seen here}.
So tell me what are your thoughts on tulle skirts.. Would you rock them or nah??
