    What I Wore: {Mother’s Day Style}

    May 11, 2012 / Curvy Style, Fashion, Plus Size, Style, What I Wore

    Hello Dahlings,

    Happy Friday and I hope everyone had a lovely week. Mother’s Day is Sunday and I thought I would share with you guys my kids who bring me joy. Even when they drive me the craziest there are those times that I will never forget, like when my daughter cut a few of her braids off because she wanted the beads off and thought cutting it was the right way or when my son tried to steal take perfume from me to give to a little girl at school (who was supposed to be his girlfriend) for Valentine’s Day..those memories will be forever be with me even though in the moment they bothered me. I am so blessed to have two amazing kids and they are constantly putting a smile on my face. Where does the time go…I remember them being just babies and now my son almost 13 and my daughter 6 going on 31 (literally) lol. They are just growing up so quickly right before my eyes which is why it’s important to cherish this time right now because once they grow up you won’t get that time back. I love being a mom, but sometimes things are so busy that I don’t stop to appreciate why being a Mom is worth it. It’s so easy to complain about your children because I’m sure many of us as moms are guilty of this, but it’s important to express the love and joy that you have for your kids. As a mom it’s the small things that matter the most, like when my daughter tells me “I Love You” just because or when she says “Mommy you are the best mom in the whole wide world” (although I’m her only mom..it’s still cute lol). When they give me a kiss and hug before they go to bed at nite. Those are the moments that make me feel the most proud and that I will forever treasure.

    Poppy Pencil Skirt

    The lovely people at Kiyonna sent me this Poppy Pencil Skirt in teal and I’m in love with it. I’m falling in love with floral here lately and I don’t have really have any floral in my wardrobe so this was the perfect add to my closet. The Poppy Pencil Skirt also comes in red too (here). I was recently featured for Mother’s Day on Kiyonna here and here and would love if you guys would head over and check it out. What is it that you love the most about motherhood?
