Heading to #TXSC {I’ll Be There Y’all}

Hey Ya’ll

While Texas Style Council is only one day away I have yet to pack my bags. I’m looking forward to a very fun and exciting weekend. This will be my second time attending a blog conference. The first conference I attended was Bloggy Boot Camp and this time it’s a little different, because this time I will have the opportunity of meeting other fashion bloggers. A part of me is somewhat nervous but the thing is we are all there for the same reason which is to learn, network and of course HAVE FUN!! So I will try not to let my nerves get the best of me and make sure to enjoy myself. I’m just going to soak in the knowledge from the more experienced bloggers and go with the flow.

The hardest thing for me is packing and I find it even harder to pack being when I’m only going to be away for a few days..I know CRAZY right lol. Hoping this post will help me decide what to bring, and what to leave at home. Elissa mentions what you should bring in a very helpful way to get prepared for this conference and get over the nervousness and jitter.

In Her Words What You Should Bring:

“Excitement. Bring curiosity. Bring comfortable shoes and, yes, business cards, and your camera and two things for the swap and maybe a notepad for taking notes. Bring a willingness to meet new people. Bring questions, and laughter, and an open mind. Bring your most genuine version of yourself, and be ready to share it. That’s the kind of stuff to bring to the conference.”

What a sigh of relief! I’ll admit I’m still a little nervous, but excited at the same time. I mean what more can a girl ask for a group of like minded people who have a love for fashion all in one room together with a wealth of knowledge. So let’s bring on the fun.

Here are a few things that I’m looking forward to at Texas Style Council just to name a few:

• The swap although I haven’t decided exactly what it is that I will be swapping, but I do have a few things in mind. The Clothing Swap presented by Swap.com and Lulu’s…How exciting Right!
• The One Hour Photography Workshop
• Blogging 101
• Boutique Crawl and Thrift Store Field Workshop presented by the 2nd Street District
  
• Networking and connecting with other bloggers and brands
• Speed Mentoring Breakfast with the more experienced bloggers that have been in blogging game a lot longer
• Attending the in-app shopping party hosted by Poshmark on Saturday from 8-10pm CST. All you have to do is download the Poshmark app from the iTunes store (totally free!) and launch the party at 8pm so that you have the chance to buy any party dress that I will be selling on the Poshmark app.

What I love about Poshmark (I super love these ladies to pieces) is the fact that you are able to shop closets from many fashion lovers from around the world “virtually” which is a very unique way of shopping. The other cool thing is that Poshmark hosts Virtual Shopping Parties just about daily with items for sale that feature fashion trends ..So that’s a double plus and this makes shopping even more enjoyable.
